A distinct tall stone arch shaped like a garland or symbols associated with Lord Vishnu, such as a serpent’s hood, conch, or discus at the entrance  matches that of the deity's idol in the garbhagriha the innermost part of the sanctuary. it is said  the lord accepted the offering of Tonsuring from  Neela Devi, a Gandharva princess;  hence God Balaji accepts the tonsure offerings made by the devotees at this temple.

Shrouded in mystery is the appearance of   beads of sweat on the back of the idol after morning  ritual bath  with water and  chandan  which is said to be wet most of the time, apart the temperature of the idol is too high. Yet another mystery is the sound of active ocean emanating there though the seashore is far away from the hill temple. Another mystic fact is the centrally consecrated idol appears to be off center toward the right side.

In the temple continuously there are  earthen lamps that are said be  burning for thousands of years. Camphor is allowed to burn here without causing damages to the idol.  On Thursdays, white wood paste is applied on the idol and it reveals Goddess Lakshmi’s imprints on the deity, a testament to the temple’s mystical aura and cultural richness.
